Sundance 2009 Showcases "Made in NY" Films

January 6, 2009 - The 2009 Sundance Film Festival will play host to a number of “Made in NY” films. The festival, which runs from January 15-25, 2009, is the premier showcase for US and international independent film and the core program of the Sundance Institute, a nonprofit cultural organization founded by Robert Redford in 1981 in Park City, Utah.

The 2009 Sundance Film Festival will include 118 feature-length films, selected from more than 3,661 submissions. Among them are these notable “Made in NY” productions:

Brief Interviews with Hideous Men
Written and directed by John Krasinski
Cast: Julianne Nicholson, John Krasinski, Timothy Hutton, Dominic Cooper, Christopher Meloni, Bobby Cannavale
When her boyfriend leaves with little explanation, a doctoral candidate in anthropology tries to remedy her heartache by interviewing men about their behavior.

Brooklyn’s Finest
