TKTS Comes to Brooklyn

July 2, 2008 - Brooklynites now have easy access to the theatre when the Theatre Development Fund opens the newest TKTS Discount Ticket Booth in the MetroTech Center in Downtown Brooklyn. Beginning on July 11, TDF offers Broadway, Off Broadway, music, dance and Brooklyn performing arts events at discounted prices to Brooklyn residents and visitors.

“The growth in downtown Brooklyn has been tremendous in the past few years,” said Victoria Bailey, TDF’s Executive Director. “We are confident that the convenience of the MetroTech location will encourage all of Brooklyn’s theatre lovers to enjoy more plays, musicals and dance performances, as well as help create a new audience for live performances both in Manhattan and Brooklyn.”

TKTS Downtown Brooklyn will be located on the ground floor of 1 MetroTech Center at the corner of Jay Street and Myrtle Avenue. TKTS offers same-day evening and next-day matinee tickets at discounts of up to 50% off full price and will be open Monday - Friday from 11am to 6pm.
