TV Update: Springtime in New York City

March 3, 2008 - The city that never sleeps will be featured throughout the spring as New York-based television shows return with all new episodes.

On The CW, “Gossip Girl” will return April 21 with plans to film five episodes while on NBC, “30 Rock” will begin airing the first of its five new episodes beginning on April 10.

Also on NBC, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” returns April 15 with five episodes. “Law & Order” will film five additional episodes that will begin to air on April 23. “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” also intends to return in the spring.

Television shows wanting to take advantage of the “Made in NY” incentive program film at qualified stages throughout the city. A qualified stage is a facility in the state of New York in which television shows and films are or are intended to be regularly produced, and which contains at least one sound stage of at least 7,000 SF. There are currently over twenty qualified stages in New York City.
