Jeffrey Sandgrund, Brooklyn Bridge Park
 June 2, 2010 - Brooklyn Bridge Park, near the intersection of Main Street and Water Street in Brooklyn, has recently opened, and productions looking to shoot there will find a seasoned professional ready to assist them with the logistics of filming on location.
Jeffrey Sandgrund, the park’s director of operations, is no stranger to working with productions. Before joining the Brooklyn Bridge Park in August 2009, he was the park manager at Fort Greene Park, McCarren Park and Pool, and Madison Square Park. “Some of my favorite [productions] from past jobs are ‘Sesame Street’ at Madison Square Park and a John Legend video we shot at Fort Greene,” he said.
Sandgrund, who handles all permissions and logistics for shooting in the park, enjoys seeing the final product from a production he’s worked when it all comes together.
His favorite spot in Brooklyn Bridge Park is a monumental staircase made of amazing recycled granite that faces the East River and Lower Manhattan. “It is pretty amazing and majestic,” he said.
