Seeking Proposals for Loews Kings Theatre
October 1, 2006 New York City Economic Development Corporation (“NYCEDC”), in cooperation with Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, is seeking expressions of interest for the rehabilitation of the former Loews Kings Theater (the “Theater”). Responses to this request for expressions of interest (“RFEI”) must present plans with design and programmatic elements that are economically viable, rehabilitate and reuse the Theater and retain certain architectural features of the Theater.

September 28, 2006 The Living Room for Artists Inc / Summer Play Festival (SPF) and The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre, and Broadcasting (MOFTB) will present its third panel -- examining how the casting process works and what actors need to know about that process -- on October 21. Titled “Actors and the Casting Process”, the panel is designed for actors and aspiring actors. The panel will be moderated by Katherine Oliver, Commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting. Panelists are Broadway and off-Broadway casting professionals, including Tara Rubin (Tara Rubin Casting), Kevin Kennison (Summer Play Festival), Rebecca Atwood (Calleri Casting) and Alan Filderman (Alan Filderman Casting).
