February 1, 2005 On December 15, 2004, Commissioner Katherine Oliver presented a proclamation declaring “The League of American Theatres and Producers Day,” in celebration of The League’s 75th anniversary. Since 1930, The League has represented the Great White Way’s theatre owners and operators, producers, presenters, general managers and suppliers.

Open Call for PA's
January 21, 2005 The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting (MOFTB) has issued an open call for Production Assistants (PA’s) interested in taking their careers to the next level. The MOFTB is developing a free seminar for PA’s which will cover skills and strategies for managing successful shoots on location throughout the five boroughs.

January 11, 2005 New York City productions have once again swept the nominations for this year’s Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards! “Made in NY” productions are contenders in 7 of the 13 award categories.


MOFTB Brings "Made in NY" to Crossroads of the World
January 11, 2005 The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting (MOFTB) has brought “Made in NY” productions to the crossroads of the world! As part of a new partnership, Reuters’ Times Square billboard is running spots promoting the MOFTB and co-branded spots promoting the MOFTB and New York City television productions.


New York Winter Theatre and Arts Festival
January 7, 2005 Ergo Entertainment will present the New York Winter Theatre and Arts Festival at the Producers Club Two from January 10-16, 2005. This year’s theme is Celebrating Women.


MOFTB Markets Made in NY, Jonny Zero
January 7, 2005 The “Made in NY” campaign is coming soon to a street near you! Last month, the first bus shelter advertisements created as part of the Made in NY incentive program’s marketing credit were unveiled on bus shelters throughout the five boroughs. This month’s campaign markets both the “Made in NY” program and FOX’s upcoming television show Jonny Zero.


Commissioner Oliver Presents "All My Children Way" As ABC's "Children" Turn 35
January 5, 2005 Katherine Oliver, Commissioner of the New York City Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting, today presented an “All My Children Way” street sign to Susan Lucci and the cast of All My Children, in celebration of the show’s 35th anniversary of shooting in New York City.


Mayor Signs Film and TV Tax Credit Into Law
January 4, 2005 Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg yesterday signed into law a five percent City tax credit for qualified film and television productions "Made in NY". The credit is part of the “Made in NY” incentive program which the Mayor promised to deliver in his State of the City address and officially unveiled in August 2004.
