December 3, 2008 - Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and the rest of the gang race to save Christmas in a new special “A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa,” which shot on location in New York City earlier this fall.

Airing on NBC on Wednesday, December 17 at 8pm EST, “A Muppets Christmas” finds Kermit trying to rectify the situation when the Muppets mistakenly prevent three letters from getting to Santa.

Helping the Muppets in their quest to get to the North Pole in time are Uma Thurman, Jane Krakowski, Nathan Lane, Jesse L. Martin, Petra Nemcova, and Whoopi Goldberg. Mayor Michael Bloomberg also makes a special cameo appearance.

The one-hour special promises to be filled with song, dance, and typical Muppet mayhem.
