January 6, 2009 - The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting has unveiled a public service announcement featuring New Yorkers who work in the production industry in an effort to thank city residents for hosting film and television production in their neighborhood. The campaign, titled “Reel Jobs. Reel proud. Real New Yorkers”, also aims to educate citizens about the importance of the industry and highlight local residents who make their living working behind the scenes in film and television.
As part of this initiative, the campaign is featured on bus shelters throughout the five boroughs. For a list of where the “Reel Jobs. Reel Proud. Real New Yorkers.” bus shelters can be seen, click here.
