December 1, 2005 – An XBOX commercial which shot in New York City this September encourages viewers to “Jump in.” With the theme that anyone can play the game, the commercial features 50 people from a variety of ages and walks of life – including Detroit Piston basketball star Ben Wallace – double dutch jump roping, spinning the ropes and even going over the ropes on a bike! The production shot in one take on HD, at the Broome Street municipal parking lot on Ludlow Street.

Production Manager Drew Santarsiero said New York gave the commercial the urban look and feel it was seeking. “New York has great ethnic diversity, so the casting was easier, we have the greatest locations, so we had a range of choices … and we have the best crews,” he said.
