Gangster Lights up City Bus Shelters

November 1, 2007 - “Made in NY” bus shelters supported the “Made in NY” film, American Gangster during the month of October. Gangster, which hits theatres on Friday, November 2nd, tells the story of drug kingpin Frank Lucas, whose rise, fall, and ultimate redemption made him a fascinating New York City figure. Denzel Washington plays Lucas, while Russel Crowe plays New Jersey police officer Richie Roberts, a man who is both a moral scion professionally and a mess in his personal life.

Bus shelters around New York City’s five boroughs also supported the African American Women in Cinema Film Festival in October. To learn more about the festival, you can refer to our accompanying newsletter article covering the festival - "Local Festivals Showcase Diversity in Film" - or you can click here.
