October 1, 2005 – The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting congratulates Edet Belzberg, a New York based filmmaker who is the recipient of a $500,000 MacArthur Fellowship. And the Women's Film Preservation Fund of New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) is offering grants of up to $10,000 for the restoration and/or preservation of American films in which women have had significant creative positions.
