September 16, 2004 – New York City-based couture designer David Rodriguez celebrated the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting’s Made in NY campaign during his spring 2005 runway presentation on September 11. Rodriguez wore the “Made in NY” logo during the fashion show, and the stars of some of New York City’s most popular productions were in attendance.
“Entertainment and fashion are inextricably linked in our unique City, and I am thrilled to be involved with David’s show during fashion week. We are grateful for his support as a ‘Made in New York’ designer,” Katherine Oliver, Commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting, said.
“I am a New York based designer, and am impressed by Katherine Oliver’s amazing efforts to bring more entertainment production to the City. It is my pleasure to help advance the 'Made in NY' campaign in any way I can,” David Rodriguez said.
Guests at the fashion show included Vince Curatola from The Sopranos, Diane Neal and Tamara Tunie from Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Cady McClain and Jennifer Ferrin of As the World Turns.
