NYC TV Turns an Eye to Fashion and Latino Culture in September

September 1, 2009 - NYC TV unveils new programming throughout September, highlighting the best cultural options the City has to offer.

NYC TV will once again ramp up its coverage of the seminal New York event – Fashion Week. To coincide with the spring collections being showcased, NYC TV will air one hour of fashion coverage each night. Videofashion Daily, airing from September 13-17 at 11pm, delivers comprehensive and rapid coverage of each major New York fashion show complete with extensive and unparalleled VIP access to and interviews with designers, fashion editors, makeup artists, models, fashion luminaries, and celebrities.
Throughout the week, NYC TV correspondent Kela Walker will interview the leading designers of the day for “That’s So New York.” Tibi and Betsey Johnson will be interviewed, and Walker will take viewers on an inside look at some of the alternative spaces designers use away from the traditional tent at Bryant Park.

Voces, the only Latino anthology series on television, airs this fall with an eclectic line-up of documentaries celebrating the accomplishments of Latinos and Latinas across the Americas. Voces captures the diversity of voices within the Latino community with an aim of stirring the interest and imagination of all viewers, regardless of their background. This season, eight films cover a wide range of subjects, including biographies of sports and music legends and community activists. Tune in starting September 11 at 9pm, and every following Friday for the eight week series.

NYC TV is broadcast on Channel 25 on Time Warner Cable, Comcast New Jersey, RCN and Dish TV, Channel 22 on Cablevision, and Channel 888 on DirectTV.
