September 2, 2008 - The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting heads to the Toronto International Film Festival to support the “Made in NY” films that will be featured at the festival.

The Coen brothers’ Burn After Reading, which shot on location in New York City last fall, will screen at the festival as well as the romance-themed anthology film New York, I Love You. Also among the films appearing at the festival: the Ricky Gervais comedy Ghost Town, the music-infused romantic comedy Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, and the cop drama Pride and Glory, starring Edward Norton and Colin Farrell, all of which were filmed in New York City.

The Toronto International Film Festival brings together filmmakers, industry professionals, and film lovers for ten days of cinema. The festival this year runs from September 4-13. Click here for a full line-up.
