Tune In: New York Shows Return This Fall

September 2, 2008 - School’s back in session and so is TV. Several New York-based shows will have their premieres in the month of September.

“Gossip Girl” kicked off its new season with a bang on September 1. The show airs Mondays at 8pm on the CW.

“Fringe,” the newest series from producer J.J. Abrams, launches on Tuesday, September 9 on Fox at 9pm. The series follows an FBI agent investigating phenomena on the fringe of science. While set in Boston, the show films in New York City.

“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” premieres on Tuesday, September 23 at 10pm. The NBC show celebrates its tenth season this year.

“Lipstick Jungle,” starring Brooke Shields, Kim Raver, and Lindsay Price, returns for a second season on Wednesday, September 24 at 10pm on NBC.

ABC’s “Ugly Betty” begins its third season back where it all started – New York City. Premiering Thursday, September 25 at 8pm, “Ugly Betty” follows the trials and triumphs of Betty Suarez, a Queens girl trying to make it in Manhattan.
