Bus Shelters Open 'Doors' to More Exposure for NYC Productions

A bus shelter promotes the Central Park Film Festival on 125th and Park

September 1, 2006
- The Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting's August bus shelter campaign promoted Red Doors, A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints and the Central Park Film Festival.

The annual Central Park Film Festival is being held through September 2 at Rumsey Playfield. This year's lineup includes The Apartment, Fatal Attraction, Godspell and Stuart Little. Click here for more information.

A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Rosario Dawson, releases in theatres on September 29. The film is a coming of age story about a boy growing up in Queens in the 1980's who believes he is saved from choosing the wrong path by various saints.

Red Doors received the “Made in NY” award at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2005. The film, which tells the story of a Chinese-American family living in New York, opens in theatres on September 8. Click here for more information.

The co-branded advertisements are a part of the "Made in NY" incentive program's marketing credit, which leverages the City's assets to provide free advertising on bus shelters throughout the five boroughs to qualifying productions. Click here for more information.
