Jeremiah Zagar shoots "I Scream in Delight", a short film in which a man recollects fond memories of Coney Island.
August 1, 2004 - Award winning directors from New York and beyond are at work this summer on a series of short films inspired by and dedicated to New York City. Through Cineminutes: Ten Takes on New York, a project designed by Cinemantics films, ten short films will showcase slices of life in the Big Apple.
“The goal of the project is to promote New York City as an exciting, cinematic place, to promote filmmaking in New York City, and to catalyze the careers of these directors,” Executive Producer Ari Krepostman said.
Some of the classic New York City story lines include the story of a bagel maker on the night shift, a student’s experiences with tourists and a man’s childhood memories of Coney Island.
Cinemantics plans to bring the shorts to film festivals before exploring television, DVD and internet distribution. Stay tuned to cinemanticsfilms.com for more information on Ten Takes!
