In its third year, this festival takes place in the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum's Allison & Howard Lutnick Theater and specializes in domestic films. Featuring an array of panels and other special events, the festival will run a Brian DePalma retrospective and kicks off on June 25 with "The Fantasticks," a documentary by Eli Kabillio. It closes on June 29 with the FiveXFive New York State of Mind DV Project, showcasing five shorts shot exclusively on location in each of the City’s five boroughs. The directors were selected randomly, and assigned five days to shoot, edit and finish their films. Two-thirds of each film contains exterior scenes depicting at least one major landmark associated with that particular borough.
