child performer permit

The pilot program for 90-day child performer permits which the Administration for Children's Services (ACS) recently concluded, was a major success.

As of June 2, 2003, ACS began offering a 90-day child performer permit, eliminating the need for the performer's legal guardian to obtain a new permit for each assignment. Eligibility for this convenient new service requires that a permit was issued for the child performer within the previous six month period, and that the child actively engaged in an assignment during that time.

Once the 90-day permit is issued, the guardian need only fax in details of each new assignment to ACS before the assignment begins. The application may be used for both 30- and 90-day permits.
