June 2, 2008 -Nominations have been announced for the 62nd Annual Tony Awards, celebrating the best of this season’s Broadway musicals and plays. The awards will be handed out on Sunday June 15 at Radio City and broadcast live on CBS. Whoopi Goldberg hosts.

In addition, a special preview concert will air in the days leading up the Tonys. The Visa Signature Tony Awards Preview Concert will be broadcast locally in New York City on WCBS on Saturday, June 7 at 7pm. Hosted by Mario Lopez, the program will feature performances from this season’s Broadway musicals as well as interviews with Tony nominees.
