At the Daytime Emmy Awards the next evening, New York shows took over a third of all awards: 7 of the 18 distributed. "All My Children" won the Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team award; Benjamin Hendrickson won the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series Award for "As the World Turns;" Jordi Vilasuso won an award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for "Guiding Light;" "As the World Turns" won the Outstanding Drama Series award; "Sesame Street" won the Outstanding Pre-School Children's Series award; "Reading Rainbow" took the Outstanding Children's Series award; and "The View" won an award for Outstanding Talk Show.
