April 1, 2005 – The “Made in NY” production Hope and Faith has been exporting more than good will to US troops serving in Iraq. The cast and crew of both All My Children and Hope and Faith have shipped boxes of supplies to the troops as part of an initiative known as “boatsies.”

After hearing about All My Children’s efforts, Alysse Bezahler, an executive producer at Hope & Faith, began coordinating collections at her production. “We’re very privileged to be able to work in this industry in New York City, so we have to give back when we can,” she said. “We’re trying to let them know that we care.”

Staff shipped items including sweatsuits, batteries, toiletries, canned foods and official jackets from the show. Click here for more on Boatsie’s.
