March 1, 2011 - Several film
festivals in March will showcase unique perspectives from around the world.
New York International Children's Film Festival An
assortment of short films and new features from around the globe will be on view
for teens and children. Screenings are followed by a Q&A with the
filmmakers. Audiences will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite films
and experience the NYICFF Awards Ceremony. The festival will take place from
March 4-27. On March 20, a special panel will take place will give audiences the
chance to hear from, speak with, and ask advice of award-winning women
directors, producers, composers, cinematographers – and more – to better
understand the unique experience of the female filmmaker. For more information,

The Queens World Film Festival The
Queens World Film Festival, running from March 4-6, seeks to bring audiences the
most compelling, highest quality films by independent filmmakers from all over
the world. The event features panels and workshops from filmmakers and
organizations from the NYC filmmaking community. Film Finance in the New Market,
a free panel for first time filmmakers and seasoned professionals, will focus on
tax rebates, grant opportunities, the new business plan and the old hustle. The
panel will take place Saturday, March 5 at noon at the Renaissance Charter

Sephardic Jewish Film Festival The 15th Annual New
York Sephardic Jewish Film Festival aims to raise awareness of the American
Jewish and non-Jewish community through film. The festival will highlight the
history, literature, music, dance, poetry, traditions, and customs of the
Sephardic World. The festival will be held on March 10-16. To learn more, visit

Korean American Film
Festival The annual Korean American Film Festival is the only New
York based independent film festival showcasing Korean American and Korean
diasporic perspectives in film. For its fifth anniversary, KAFFNY presents New
York audiences with a challenging and innovative program ranging from
groundbreaking early Korean cinema to current emerging Korean American films.

New Directors/New Films Festival The New
Directors/New Films introduces audiences to the work of emerging or
not-yet-established filmmakers. Past years have unveiled talents like Steven
Spielberg and Spike Lee. The festival is presented by The Museum of Modern Art
and the Film Society of Lincoln Center and runs from March 23-April 3. For
