February 14, 2007 - New York City has landed 10 new television pilots for the season – thanks to the “Made in NY” tax credit program.
“We have seen an impressive increase in television pilots this year thanks to the Made in NY tax credit program,” said Katherine Oliver, Commissioner for the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting. “We look forward to continuing this growth, as television represents a major part of New York City’s entertainment revenues.”
The "Made in New York" program was launched with a 10 percent credit from the state in 2004 and was expanded in 2005 with a 5 percent credit from the city. A production must complete at least 75 percent of its work in New York City to be eligible for both credits.

The Made in NY incentive program, which includes tax credits, marketing credits and a concierge service, has created thousands of new jobs by bringing $2.4 billion in new business to New York within the past two years.
