March 1, 2007 - The Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting's March bus shelter campaign promoted feature films Puccini for Beginners and I Think I Love My Wife, in addition to the HBO series “The Sopranos.”

Puccini for Beginners, released in February, is a romantic comedy about a recently-singled New York writer who finds herself in two surprising and complicated relationships.

I Think I Love my Wife, scheduled for release this month, is the story of a married man (Chris Rock) who daydreams about being with other women finds his will and morals tested after he's visited by the ex-mistress of his old friend.

HBO’s final season of the “Sopranos,” set to begin airing in April, also took advantage of the bus shelter campaign by utilizing two separate ads to be displayed on 100 shelters from March through April.

The bus shelters promoted the film shoots as part of the city's “Made in NY” marketing credit, which provides eligible film and television productions with free advertising to promote their releases, at a value of one percent of their below-the-line budgets. The program offers an outdoor medium which is equal in value to 1% of a production’s total spend in New York City. Qualifying productions can make use of city-owned bus shelters for co-branded advertising related to the Made in NY production. This credit is extended to productions that do 75% of their total production for a project in New York City.
