The Bachelorette enjoys the Big Apple
March 1, 2005 - After shooting the last season of The Bachelorette in New York City, the producers were so happy with the City that they decided to bring The Bachelor to the Big Apple.
"New York was an incredible backdrop for this season of The Bachelorette," Executive Producer Mike Fleiss said. "The city brought new life and renewed energy to the show that no other city could."
The Bachelorette spent $7 million shooting 7 episodes in New York City, reporting that the close proximity of venues for the bachelorette's dates made the production cost-effective. The show filmed at locations including the Empire State Building, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Cotton Club, Little Italy, Central Park and a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. The bachelorette lived in a Soho loft, while her suitors were lodged in the Meatpacking District.
The Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting is proud to welcome The Bachelor to the Big Apple.
