February 2, 2009 - As February begins, more and more local businesses are joining the “Made in NY” Discount Card Program, which provides discounts to eligible productions shooting throughout the five boroughs.

Among the latest vendors offering discounts are: Edge Auto and Truck Rental, Original Soup Man, Coldstone Creamery, RoundHead Creative Group Inc.,  Speedy Scan Organizer Inc., and For Your Imagination.

Since the “Made in NY” Discount program launched in June of 2005, the MOFTB has distributed 15,746 cards. During the month of January 2009, the agency distributed 2,213 cards to 79 productions, linking these productions to local business throughout New York City.
