January 4, 2010 - Nominations have been announced for the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards, and a host of “Made in NY” productions are among the nominees. Eighteen nominations were bestowed upon films and TV shows that are based in New York City.

Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire was honored with several nominations, including Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama (Gabourey Sidibe), and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture (Mo'Nique).

It’s Complicated picked up a slew of nominations on the comedy side. The film was nominated for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy as was the screenplay, written by director Nancy Meyers, and star, Meryl Streep for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

Streep was also nominated for her role as Julia Child in Julie and Julia, which was nominated for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

Also in the leading acting categories, Julia Roberts was nominated Duplicity and Robert Downey, Jr. was nominated for Sherlock Holmes, which shot its interiors in NYC.

On the television side, FX’s “Damages” was honored with several nominations including Glenn Close for Best Performance by an Actress in a Series – Drama and Rose Byrne and William Hurt for their performances in supporting roles.

NBC’s “30 Rock” was nominated for three awards: Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy, Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Comedy (Tina Fey), and Best Performance by an Actor in a Series – Comedy (Alec Baldwin).

Julianna Margulies received a nomination for her dramatic performance in the CBS freshman hit “The Good Wife” as did Edie Falco for her role on the Showtime comedy series “Nurse Jackie.”
