January 6, 2009 - Notorious opens in theatres on January 15, chronicling the life of Notorious B.I.G. (a.k.a. Christopher Wallace) and his music career that took off from the streets of Brooklyn.

Directed by George Tillman Jr. with a script by Reggie Rock Bythewood and Cheo Hodari Coker, the "Made in NY" film stars Jamal Woolard and Derek Luke as Notorious B.I.G. and Sean Combs, respectively. Angela Bassett plays Wallace’s mother.
