Taxi's New York City premiere.

Released in theatres on October 8, 2004 by 20th Century Fox, Taxi is a remake of the French film about a cab driver who assists a police officer in solving a spree of bank robberies.

Taxi shot in New York City from September-October 2003, employing 50 cast and crew members. The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting assisted the production with complicated driving shots and diverted traffic on Avenue B to accommodate a major crash scene.

Queen Latifah has worked on films in New York City including The Bone Collector, Bringing Out the Dead, Brown Sugar and Juice.
Jimmy Fallon is known for his role on Saturday Night Live, television’s longest-running and highest-rated late night television show, which is also shot in New York City.
