 Stay Stay shot in New York City from September – December 2003, employing 150 cast and crew members. The film tells the story of a professor who tries to keep a student from committing suicide. The film stars Ryan Gosling, who also shot the feature film The Believer in NYC. Elizabeth Reaser shot The Believer in NYC with Stay costar Ryan Gosling. She also shot the 2001 film Thirteen Conversations about One Thing in the City. The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre, and Broadcasting provided access to the roadways of the Brooklyn Bridge for two weeks for production of this film. As a result, the production decided to shoot all of its locations for principal photography on the $50 million project in New York City. Interior scenes were filmed at Silvercup Studios in Queens and the Marcy Armory in Brooklyn, where a Brooklyn Bridge set was created to complement the location shots.
