 The Sopranos HBO’s hit The Sopranos has shot in New York City since 1998, employing 110 cast and crew members and winning 17 Emmy awards. The series’ stars have long standing ties to the City: James Gandolfini shot Romance and Cigarettes, 8MM, Night Falls on Manhattan, Mr. Wonderful, A Stranger Among Us and The Juror in NYC. Lorraine Bracco was born in Brooklyn and has shot films in NYC including Hackers, The Basketball Diaries, Switch, Someone to Watch Over Me and Goodfellas. Edie Falco, also a native New Yorker, has shot The Great New Wonderful, Bullets Over Broadway, Death of a Dog, A Price Above Rubies, Trouble on the Corner, The Funeral, The Addiction, and Laws of Gravity in NYC. Michael Imperioli shot Love in the Time of Money, The Night We Never Met, Jungle Fever, and Goodfellas in NYC and co-wrote Spike Lee’s Summer of Sam, which also shot in NYC.
