 Queer Eye for the Straight Guy Bravo’s self-improvement reality series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy has been shooting in NYC since 2003. NYC salons, restaurants, clothing, furniture, and fine foods stores host the Fab Five as they spruce up the city’s straight men. Series creator David Collins has been filming Queer Eye for the Straight Guy in NYC since 2003. Kyan Douglas studied cosmetology in NYC and worked at a SoHo salon before becoming Queer Eye’s “grooming guru.” Ted Allen has been dispensing food and wine advice on location in NYC since 2003. Carson Kressley worked for Polo Ralph Lauren in NYC for years before Queer Eye. He also shot feature film The Perfect Man in 2004, with NYC locations. Jai Rodriguez has appeared in many NYC theatrical productions including Rent on Broadway. Thom Filicia has been redecorating NYC apartments since 2003.
