Howl, from directors Ron Epstein and Jeffrey Friedberg, stars James Franco as beat poet Allen Ginsberg. The film chronicles the famed character’s early life in New York and the trial of Lawrence Ferlinghetti (Andrew Rogers), a San Francisco bookstore owner and poet who published the titular poem. Additional cast members include Jon Hamm, Aaron Tveit, Mary-Louise Parker and Jeff Daniels.
