Hide and Seek
Hide and Seek releases in theatres on January 28, 2005. The film, about a girl who creates an imaginary friend after the death of her mother, was shot in NYC from January-April 2004, employing 75 New York City cast and crew members.
The film’s stars have long-standing ties to the City:
A native New Yorker, Robert De Niro has made numerous films in NYC including Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, The King of Comedy, Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale, City by the Sea and The Good Shepherd. De Niro co-founded the Tribeca Film Center, sponsor of the annual Tribeca Film Festival, to support the NYC entertainment community.
Dakota Fanning shot the feature films Uptown Girls and Conquistadora in NYC.
Famke Janssen’s NYC film credits include Don’t Say a Word, Made and Rounders.
Elisabeth Shue shot the feature films Deconstructing Harry and Soapdish in NYC.
The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre, and Broadcasting assisted with locations for the film, which included:
