 Birth Birth released in theatres on October 29, 2004. The film shot exclusively in New York City from February-May 2003, employing 75 New York cast and crew members. The film stars Nicole Kidman, who has recently shot three films in a row in New York City, filming The Stepford Wives and Birth in 2003 and The Interpreter in 2004. Lauren Bacall has also starred in films shot in NYC, including The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996), All I Want for Christmas (1991), The Fan (1981) and Young Man with a Horn (1950). Anne Heche filmed parts of Donnie Brasco (1997), The Juror (1996), and Walking and Talking (1996) in The Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting worked with the Parks Department to accommodate a complicated jogging scene in the film's opening sequence and assisted with locations for Birth, which included: Central Park, Naturalists Gate Archway & Bridle Path, Greyshot Arch Java Street, Greenpoint Brooklyn India Street, Greenpoint Brooklyn Maria's Coffee Shop, 769 Manhattan Avenue, Greenpoint Brooklyn Samuel Dupont Elementary School, Meserole Ave, Greenpoint Brooklyn West 86th Street, Manhattan Riverside Drive, Manhattan West 72nd Street, Manhattan Ukrainian Institute of America, 2 East 79th Street, Manhattan The Seagram Building, 375 Park Avenue, Manhattan La Caravelle Restaurant, 33 West 55th Street, Manhattan Fifth Avenue, Manhattan Waldorf Astoria Hotel, 301 Park Avenue Inwood Hill Park, Manhattan Third Avenue, Manhattan American Playground Park, Franklin Street, Greenpoint Brooklyn Notre Dame School, 327 West 13th St, Manhattan Grand Street, Manhattan McGuiness Blvd, Greenpoint Brooklyn Hospital, 121 Dekalb Ave, Fort Greene, Brooklyn  watch the trailer |  |
