Film Permits: Times Square and Post-Hurricane Sandy
Please note that the Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2013, in observance of Memorial Day.
Productions should be advised that throughout the coming months, portions of Times Square will be under reconstruction and not available for filming. It is recommended that productions frequently check the Citywide Event Coordination and Management’s website for updates as further construction begins and to plan accordingly.
Additionally, effective since November 5, 2012, the Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting has been issuing permits for exterior locations on a case-by-case basis, taking into consideration the effects of Hurricane Sandy on the City and the continuing recovery efforts.
