Teatro SEA Artistic Director Dr. Manuel A. Morán Discuss Theatre, New Show “The Glory: A Latin Cabaret”

Teatro SEA (Society of the Educational Arts, Inc.) was established on New York’s Lower East Side in 1985 by Artistic Director Dr. Manuel A. Morán. The theatre is currently celebrating its milestone 30th Anniversary Season, and MOME spoke to Dr. Morán to hear more about their current production of LA GLORIA, A LATIN CABARET, celebrating its world premiere opening during Teatro Fest NY 2015, and closing December 6th.

Mayor De Blasio Announces Increased Growth of New York City's Entertainment Industry Brings $8.7 Billion Into the Local Economy

Mayor Bill de Blasio, Deputy Mayor Alicia Glen, and Media & Entertainment Commissioner Cynthia López today announced that New York City’s filmed entertainment industry now contributes $8.7 billion to the local economy, an increase of more than 1.5 billion, or 21 percent, since 2011.
