Fourteen high school students learned about a host of careers in the FDNY in April during an Afternoon of Mentoring event at the FDNY's Headquarters in Brooklyn.

Fire Commissioner Salvatore Cassano and First Deputy Commissioner Don Shacknai welcomed the students from the Urban Assembly School of Design and Construction in Manhattan, who then received career advice from Director of Grant Development Irene Sullivan, Deputy Counsel Tayo Kurzman, Fire Marshal Zachary Fletcher, Firefighter Tracey Lewis and EMT Brandon Mahon.
