Regional EMS Council of New York City (REMSCO) hosted an EMS Week 2007 Recognition and Awards Ceremony at the Interchurch Center in Manhattan on May 21. Veronica Shaw, a fourth-grader, was the winner of an essay contest for an essay she wrote about the EMS Command. She is the niece of EMS Lt. Inmaculada Gatta of the FDNY Emergency Medical Dispatch.
