FDNY Counseling Services UnitCommunity Connections

A new program for ALL active FDNY members, EMS personnel, and their families, who were affected by the events of September 11th. Supports the ongoing health and wellness through a variety of educational workshops, support groups, wellness services (ear acupuncture, massage) and social activities. Programs include Couples Connection, Family Retreats, and community-based events near home.

  • Wellness Days
      o Massage, acupuncture, and learning about self-care, health & wellness.


  • Social Activities
      o Retreats for couples, families, and individuals to have fun together and to build community.


  • Educational Workshops
      o Nutrition, stress reduction, raising teenagers, couple communication & more.


  • Support Groups
      o Share stories, advice, and support with others going through similar experiences.
