Fire Safety / HotDog: The FDNY Fire Safety Mascot

HOT DOG wavingHOT DOG VanHooray! It's HOTDOG the FDNY Fire Safety Mascot. HOTDOG is a big lovable dalmation who loves to go to schools, hospitals, health fairs, and parades to teach children about Fire Safety.

If you would like HOTDOG to go your school in his special "dalmation mobile" then have your teacher call the Office of Fire Safety Education at (718) 999-2343 or (718) 999-2344.

HOTDOG -- the Official Fire Safety Mascot -- teaches children about the gear that firefighters wear by demonstrating the reflective stripes on his bunker pants.

HOTDOG dances along with Firefighter John Ruiz -- the Rappin' Fireman -- in a classroom lesson on how to stay fire-safe!
