FIRE COMMISSIONER CASSANO TO PRESIDE AT GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR 150 EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS

Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano will preside over a graduation ceremony for 150 Emergency Medical Technicians at the Catholic Cultural Center, 12020 Flatlands Ave, Brooklyn on Monday, June 17, at 11 a.m.

“Our new Emergency Medical technicians will soon be out on the street responding to life threatening emergencies and making a difference in the lives of New Yorkers,” said Commissioner Cassano.  “As new FDNY members – and newly trained first responders – they have the responsibility of meeting the high standards of the Department and continuing its reputation of providing the best pre-hospital care found anywhere in the world.”

Sixteen different languages are spoken by this diverse group of graduates, including Creole, Urdu, Hindi, Turkish, Spanish, and German. All of the new graduates will be assigned to various units throughout the city.
