FIRE COMMISSIONER CASSANO TO PRESIDE AT PROMOTION CEREMONY FOR 3 DEPUTY CHIEFS AND GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR 46 PARAMEDICS

Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano will preside over a promotion ceremony for three Deputy Chiefs and a graduation ceremony for 46 Paramedics at FDNY Headquarters, 9 Metrotech Center, Brooklyn, on Friday, January 25, at 11 a.m.

"Our new Deputy Chiefs and Paramedics have all played crucial roles in the FDNY Bureau of EMS as Captains and EMTs, by helping to reduce response times to the most serious medical emergencies to the lowest ever recorded; 6 minutes and 30 seconds," said Commissioner Cassano. "In their new roles, they will continue the Department's mission of providing the best pre-hospital care found anywhere in the world."

The new Deputy Chiefs and Paramedics will be assigned to various units throughout the city.
