FDNY HOLDS MEMORIAL PLAQUE DEDICATION TO HONOR THREE FIREFIGHTERS WHO LOST THEIR LIVES AT THE FATHER'S DAY FIRE IN 2001
Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano will dedicate a memorial plaque for the three Firefighters killed at the "Father's Day Fire" on Tuesday, October 9, at 14-01 Astoria Blvd, Queens at 4 p.m.
Firefighters Harry S. Ford and Brian D. Fahey from Rescue 4, and Firefighter John J. Downing from Ladder 163, were killed while operating at a fire at 12-22 Astoria Boulevard on Father's Day, June 17, 2001.
