FIRE COMMISSIONER CASSANO TO PRESIDE AT CEREMONY PROMOTING 15 FDNY MEMBERS

Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano will preside over a ceremony promoting fifteen FDNY Firefighters to the rank of Lieutenant on Thursday, September 13th at 11 a.m. at the FDNY Academy on Randall's Island.

"Promotion ceremonies are so important to the FDNY because they show the Department is always moving forward," said Commissioner Cassano. "These new Lieutenants are taking an important step forward in their careers as they will now lead Firefighters in the firehouse and in the field."

Together, the newly promoted members have nearly 160 years of experience with the Department. They will be assigned to various units throughout the city.
