FIRE COMMISSIONER CASSANO TO PRESIDE AT GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR 83 EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS
Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano will preside over a graduation ceremony for 83 Emergency Medical Technicians at the FDNY Fire Academy on Randall’s Island, on Monday, July 2, at 11 a.m.
“Over 1 million times a year, the members of FDNY EMS are called to respond to medical emergencies; often to help someone in their most dire moments,” said Commissioner Cassano. “These new graduates have spent months undergoing demanding training to prepare them for the challenges they will face each and every day.”
Eight different languages, including Cantonese, Russian, Spanish, German and Portuguese, reflect the diversity represented in the graduates.
All of the recent graduates will be assigned to various units throughout the city.
