FIRE COMMISSIONER CASSANO TO PRESIDE AT CEREMONY PROMOTING 21 FIRE OFFICERS

Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano will preside over a ceremony promoting 21 FDNY members at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 29 in the auditorium at the FDNY Academy on Randall’s Island. Five Lieutenants will be promoted to the rank of Captain and 16 Firefighters will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

“Our promotion ceremonies remind us of the strong leaders we have within our department,” Commissioner Cassano said. “These newly promoted Lieutenants and Captains will continue to carry on the proud tradition of leadership in the FDNY.”

The members being promoted comprise nearly 240 years of experience with the Department. They will be assigned to various units throughout the city.
