EMPIRE STATE BUILDING LIGHTS TOWER TONIGHT
TO CELEBRATE EMS WEEK 2011

The Empire State Building, in partnership with the New York City Fire Department, will be illuminated in yellow, white and blue TONIGHT in celebration of National EMS Week 2011, which began yesterday.

EMS Week is an annual week-long series of events designed to promote public safety among all New Yorkers, attract potential EMS recruits and celebrate the life-saving efforts of more than 3,000 members of FDNY’s Emergency Medical Service. Other events include the Second Chance Brunch, where rescuers are reunited with the people whose lives they saved in the past year, on Tuesday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at the FDNY Academy on Randall’s Island and an EMS Health Fair and Competition to be held on Metrotech Commons in Brooklyn on Thursday, May 19.
