Taylor & Taylor Associates, Inc. and the Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company have partnered to award a $32,000 grant to the FDNY tomorrow at 10 a.m. at FDNY Headquarters in Brooklyn for the purchase of video editing equipment and software to enhance the training of its members.

This generous grant was used to purchase two multimedia editing stations with software, as well as a video camera and other related equipment. The customized videos and multimedia presentations produced thanks to this grant will be used to train FDNY Firefighters, Paramedics, and Emergency Medical Technicians on new procedures, protocols, equipment and operations.

“Preparedness is one of the core values of this Department,” said Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano. “This grant will greatly help our members stay prepared by using technology to bring up-to-date training videos directly to the firehouses and EMS stations where they work.

This the third grant to the FDNY from Taylor & Taylor Associates, Inc. In 2006 and 2008, Taylor & Taylor Associates, Inc. awarded grants totaling $90,000 to the FDNY High School.

Since December 2006, Fireman’s Fund has awarded the FDNY over $449,000.
