Astronaut Michael J. Massimino will present an American flag flown on NASA Space Shuttle Atlantis to FDNY Chief of Department Salavatore Cassano at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the NYC Fire Museum, 278 Spring Street. The NYC Fire Museum is the official museum of the FDNY and houses a renowned collection of fire-related art and artifacts from the 18th century to the present. The NYC Fire Museum also contains the first permanent memorial to the 343 firefighters who were killed on September 11th. The donated flag will be displayed in the 9/11 room of the museum.
